Jeanette Marie Mariano Johnson
 
82, passed to her eternal home on July 6th, 2018 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale Arkansas.
 
Jean was born December 18, 1935 in Koloa Kauai, Hawaii. She was the daughter of Joseph and Ida Mariano. She had 5 siblings, Joe Jr., Marjory, Betty, Rodney, and Jerry.
 
She graduated Nursing School in Honolulu, Hawaii at St Francis Hospital. Her first nursing job was at Hilo Memorial in Hilo, Hawaii. A year later she moved to Cleveland Ohio to continue her nursing career.
 
She met her husband, Lieutenant Donald H. Johnson in Denver, Colorado and they were married at the AFB in Orlando, Florida in October 1962. Along with being stationed there, they were also stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Vandenberg AFB in California and Randolph AFB in San Antonio ,Texas. Lt Col Donald Johnson Retired in 1975 and moved the family To Fayetteville, Arkansas.
 
Jean was a registered nurse for over 25 years and was head nurse of Labor and Delivery night shift at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Jean was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tontitown Arkansas. She was an avid gardner, a beautiful singer, and a hula dancer. She volunteered and devoted to many Catholic, patriotic, and other charitable causes. She was a very strong woman of great character, determination and grit. She loved her family and friends dearly.
 
Jean is survived by her husband Donald H. Johnson and her four children. Donald Jr. and his wife Debbie of Fayetteville, Theresa Thompson of Fayetteville, Richard of Fayetteville and his finance Eileen Moore of Las Vegas,
 
Thomas and his wife Katherine of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Eight grandchildren, Shelby, Bailey, Eddie, Makai, Matthew, Joseph, Caleb,and Andrew, She is also survived by her sister Betty Ann Lee of Honolulu Hawaii, her half sister Jasmine Mariano-Hardy of Hanapepe, Hawaii, Sister-in-law Peggy Province of Warrensburg, Mo and numerous nieces and nephews, She will be greatly missed.
