85 a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away June 11, 2006 at his home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born September 13, 1920 at Cove Creek, Arkansas the son of James Walter and Stella Matthews Grant.

James was a member of the American Legion of Prairie Grove.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild James Melvin Pergeson.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie Beeks Grant of the home; two daughters Pauline Hines and Peggy Ruth Smith both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three sisters Ellavie Dallas of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Corrine Reed and Maudie Phillips both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday June 13, 2006 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Preston Beeks officiating, with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
