James Monroe Young
Age, 85, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born October 31, 1932 in Weleetka, Oklahoma, the son of E.M. and Ruby (Clenney) Young.
Monroe retired from Frito Lay after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Summers Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and music director for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life and high school sweetheart Betty Jo Young, one daughter Dorothy Ann Young, one grandson Jeremy Young, one sister Helen Leflet and one brother Leon Young.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Young; two children Paul Young and wife Becky and Linda Springston and husband Gary; one sister Shirley Wilson and husband Clarence; four grandchildren Joel Paul Young and wife Tiffany, Kara Young and wife Stacy, Andrea Jo Stinson and husband John and Becca Springston; three great grandsons Kreiger Wayne, Benjamin Jeremiah and Jase Monore; three step grandchildren Keith Fuller and wife Melissa, Megan Neal and husband Heath and Kim Pilgrim and husband Nick; one step great grandson Caleb Pilgrim, three step great granddaughters Teagan, Olivia, and Bria.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, April 26th, 2018, at Summers Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Summers Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.
