Obituary
Jackie Edmond Baird, 89, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born October 25, 1936 in Pharr, Texas, the son of Eldorado and Ethel (Jackson) Baird.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marines from January 16, 1953 to September 3, 1953, and later in the United States Navy from March 8, 1955 to August 26, 1964. After his military service, he worked as a pipe fitter, and was also a farmer and truck driver. He studied the Bible faithfully and loved to talk about his faith. He was a loving husband and father.
He was preceded in death by Edith Baird Meyers, Billie Joyce Baird, Tonia Jones, Bordenia Faye Hessel, and Bobby Baird.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Baird; daughter, Patricia Wilson; sons, Philip Baird and Paul Baird; sisters, Priscilla Hessel Bennett and Judy Hessel Hayesand; son-in-law, Wade Laning; grandchildren; Geret Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Kyle Wilson, David James Baird, and Timothy Baird; granddaughters-in-law, Susan Wilson and Shannon Wilson; and numerous great-grandchildren, including Hunter Wilson, Haven Wilson, Haley Wilson, Holden Wilson, Faith (Arnold), Austin Arnold; and great-great-grandsons Bryer Nixon and Maddox Arnold.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 2, 2026 from 4 PM until 5 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at Centerpoint Church of God in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial with Military Honors following the service will be held at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas at 11:30 AM.
