Obituary

Harriet Ann Mallams, age 79 and Bartlesville resident, passed away on February 12, 2018, in the Bartlesville Health & Rehab Community.
Harriet “Ann” Parks was born on March 10, 1938 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Harrison Parks and Vera (Goddard) Parks. She was raised in the Wann, Oklahoma area where she received her early education, graduating from Wann High School. She furthered her education by attending Coffeyville Jr. College where she received her Associates Degree in Business.
Ann and Bobby Joe (B.J.) Mallams were united in marriage and they moved to California where she worked for Disneyland for two years. After living in California for a time, the couple moved back to Dewey, Oklahoma. After their return to Oklahoma, she worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville as a Cost Analyst, in the Engineering Department. She retired from Phillips after 30+ years.
Mr. Mallams preceded her in death in 1995. Ann continued her residence in Dewey after his death.
Ann was a member of the Dewey First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors and Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, quilting and needlepoint. Another of her passions included collecting antiques.
Ann is survived by her God-children, Scott McKissick and Lesley McKissick; nephew, Mark Parks of California; nephew, Lindsey Parks, of Kansas City; sisters-in-law, Janet Loffton and Kathy Guinn and her husband, Gary; brother-in-law, Pat Mallams and his wife, Beverly; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Mallams Ellis and JoAnna Parks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; and brother, John Parks.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable contributions in Ann’s memory be made to the Dewey Frist United Methodist Church, Dewey, Oklahoma 74029.
Come and go visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM-Noon in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.
Services for Mrs. Mallams will be held on Monday, February 19, at 2:00 PM in the Dewey First United Methodist Church, Dewey, Oklahoma. Pastor Jinx M. Barber of the Dewey First United Methodist Church will be the officiant. Interment will be on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Dewey City Cemetery.
