Gerald Edward McQuillen
86, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home. He was born December 23, 1931 in Greeley, Colorado, the son of Edward and Mildred (Gimm) McQuillen. He served in the Korean Conflict as a Sargent 1st Class and was a recipient of two bronze Star Metals.
He lived in Colorado till 1955. Gerald moved to Anaheim, California, and in 1997 to Arkansas to live near his family. He was a loving husband, father, and a devoted loving family man. His constant companion, MAX, a yorkshire terrier was his pride and joy, he was by his side in death.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one brother Donnie McQuillen.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, JoAnn McQuillen; one son, Gary McQuillen and wife Gina; one daughter, Brenda Berthold; one sister Carol Tegtmeier; grandchildren, Jacob Gerald Berhold and wife Sydney, A.J. McQuillen and wife Lisa, Nic Genzone and wife Brandi, Chase Edward McQuillen and Annie Nicole McQuillen; great-grandchildren, Melanie McQuillen, Brayden Genzone and Emmaline Genzone.
