Obituary

Georgia Almeda Reese

Age 82, a resident of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. She was born December 20, 1935 in Sparks, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edgar and Lola (Carter) Newnam.

Georgia had many volunteer roles in her community including: Chaplain at the American Legion Auxiliary Beaty-Bibb Post 171, Teacher's Assistant at Maranatha Christian School for several years, Grace Place one Saturday a month and served coffee at the Veterans Hospital several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Reese, her parents, four sisters Phyllis Newnam, Jo Smallwood, Jean Hooper and Ruby Conley, and one brother Eddie Newnam.

Survivors include four sons Lee Reese and Ed Reese both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jody Reese of Cane Hill, Arkansas, and Alan Reese of Henderson, Nevada; two daughters Sandy Bush of Lincoln, Arkansas and Carrie Peake of DeRidder, Louisiana; four sisters Norma Sparks of Ferndale, California, Sharon Teixeira of Camp Verde, Arizona, Brenda Courtney of Cordes Jct, Arizona and Carrie Stone of Camp Verde, Arizona; eighteen grandchildren Charles Reese, Shauna Overturf, Hampton Reese, Lindsay Burkhart, Haley Reese, Malissa Vincent, Sharon Reese, Brian Vann, Daniel Reese, Holly Reese, Dan Bush, Amanda Wantland, Meghan Morsches, Christy Classen, Isaiah Peake, Jessica Nightingale, Jonathan Peake, and Luke Reese and twenty seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 17th, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Place 200 W Park St., Lincoln, Arkansas 72744.
