Obituary

Edward N Brogdon

Age 85, a resident of Dutch Mills, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born December 15, 1934 in Charlotte, Arkansas, the son of Auther Lynn and Myrtle Alice (Bloyer) Brogdon.

Ed served in the National Guard for 34 years retiring as Sergeant Major. He retired from North Pemiscot High School in Missouri after 29 years in education with the last fifteen years as superintendent. Following his retirement he took up cattle farming in Northwest Arkansas.

He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Dutch Mills, serving faithfully as a deacon. Also, deriving great enjoyment from service and fellowship with the Gideons International.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ellen Brogdon; two daughters Mary Lynne Massey and her husband Chris, and Lori Jones and her husband David; four grandchildren Lauren Massey, Brandon Massey and his wife Samantha, Sarah Jones and Jon David Jones and his wife Jessica; three great grandchildren Rhea Massey, Langley and Georgia Jones; numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri.
