What a sad day.... Grandpa Masters was loved by all who knew him... I will never forget all the times the he and Grandma Masters (Helen) were at the races to support Alan and so many others.... they had such a love for one another, and where you seen one the other wasn't far away right up till the time she was no longer able to go.... I remember one time at Salina walking by their vehicle and it was running I thought how odd, so I went in and found them and ask if they knew their car (green explorer) was running.... only to hear "yes sweetheart they wont let us bring the dogs in and we left the air on for them".... they loved those furbabies as much as most love their children.... I often told them I needed to tell Alan they loved that dog more them him.... Grandpa Masters would say "he would say yes they do".... their health in the last few years has went down hill and we missed seeing them at the track, but I knew it wasn't because they didn't love the sport or the people anymore... they showed enough love to all of us that we felt what love was really all about.... so until we see you again, know you left a mark on my heart that no one else will ever be able to match.... your humor, joy, happiness and love of life will always be something we desire to have.... you are once again together with that lovely bride of yours, while she left just a short time ago, life without her for you I am sure was unbearable... know that your racing family loves you, we miss your wonderful smiles and witty stories.... and no one will ever be like Grandpa and Grandma Masters.... Alan and family know they loved you and they were always so proud of you all.... and they never lost faith in any of you.... God bless you all and know he is back where he belongs with that sweet Lady that he loved so much....
