Obituary

Chester Sargent

Age 78, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born September 6, 1939 in Prairie Grove, the son of Charles W. and Iva Mulvina (Crawley) Sargent.

Chester served in the United States Navy. He retired from Standard Register after 42 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Clyde, Clinton, Clarence, and Hank; six sisters Alma, Belle, Ethel Louise, Lorraine, Maudileen, and Dollie.

Survivors include his wife Betty Lou Sargent; two sons Daren Sargent and wife Cathy and Blake Sargent; one daughter Carmen Tharp and husband Rodney; one sister Bonnie Anderson and husband Sam; five grandchildren Calynn Kuns and husband Will, Garret Sargent, Lindsey Tharp, Nathan Sargent, and Russ Tharp; three great-grandchildren Addy Kuns, Eleanor Kuns and Mackenzie Kuns.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 26, 2017, 6:00-7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27th, 2017, at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Fall Creek Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.
