Obituary
Charles Dion Barnes, 50, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born October 30, 1966 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Charles F. and Mary L. (Bradley) Barnes.
Dion was and avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing. He was a very handy man and could build anything he set his mind to . Dion was very dedicated to his family. He loved family gatherings, playing corn hole, and watching the Hogs play. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents Noah and Flora Bradley; his uncle and aunt Guy and Bula Sheperd.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy Barnes; two daughters, Jenifer Austin and husband Chad and Jessika Barnes; one brother, Joe Barnes and wife Elisha; his granddaughter, Remington Austin; niece and nephew Tyesha and Noah Barnes and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 13th, 2017, at Prairie Grove Christian Church. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prairie Grove Christian Church for "The Great Serve" fund.
