Obituary
Bonitta Ruth Bowman, of Tifton died Thursday September 16th at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be held 3p.m. Saturday September 18th at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. Burial will be in her home town of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Bonitta was born to the late William O. and Betty Jean Johnson Pierson. Bonitta grew up on a rural farm in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She joined the United States Air Force at 17 years of age and served her country honorably for four years. Bonitta later graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in nursing.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church serving in many capacities as a humble servant. She was also active with Meals On Wheels.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years Dr. Robert C. Bowman, one son Andy Bowman, and two sisters Barber Keaton and Darlene Kaye. In lieu of flowers gifts may be made to Meal on Wheel of Tifton
