Benny Bee Blum

Age 77, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born February 14, 1943 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Benjamin and Esther Pauline (Weigant) Bates.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doug Blum, two brothers Donald Ray Bates and Harold Dorwin Bates; three sisters Mary Bates, Charlotte Roach and Avona Lea Chastain.

Survivors include her son Bradley Patterson; two grandchildren Chris Patterson and Kenneth Patterson; three great grandchildren Kenneth Jr., Lydia Ada, and Rylie; two brothers Joseph Glenn Bates and David Lynn Bates; one sister Patricia Groce; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

I just found out about Benny Bee’s passing. I am so heartbroken to hear this news. I worked with her at Ozark Guidance but she was more than a coworker. She was a true friend. Today is her birthday and I know she is having a wonderful heavenly birthday.
