Obituary

Andrea Lea Hall

Age 58, a resident of Rogers, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Fayetteville. She was born January 4, 1964 in Maywood, California, the daughter of Wayne and Mary LaVonne (Phillips) Hall.

Andrea graduated from Prairie Grove High School and completed her bachelor degree from the University of Arkansas. She continued to be a lifelong Razorback baseball and basketball fan.

Andrea joined Walton Enterprises January 1988 as one of only five employees. As the office grew, she worked in many capacities including accounting, payroll, human relations, and taxation. Most of her responsibilities centered around her role as a Senior Accountant. In many ways, Andrea embodied Walton Enterprises. In every role and every season, Andrea served with an eye for detail and conviction for quality. She carried that into the other part of her job as well—caring for her co-workers. While Andrea was highly valued for her contribution to her office responsibilities, she will perhaps be most missed for how she shaped a group of unrelated employees into a family. Andrea was loved by this work family for her outgoing, social, inclusive personality. Many never get a chance to experience someone like Andrea. Her coworkers at Walton Enterprises know how blessed they've been.

It is no surprise that Andrea became a CPA. She was smart but was also willing to put in the time to study. Just looking at all her accomplishments during our high school years will tell you this. Andrea was in many organizations but not in name only, or to sit for the picture, member. Andrea was an active member as you can see in the following list. Annual Staff: sophomore through senior year, she was the Assistant Editor her junior year and Editor her senior year; Future Homemakers of America: freshman through senior years, she served as Historian her senior year; Spanish Club: sophomore through junior years and President her junior year; Math and Science Club: sophomore through senior year and Vice President her senior year; National Honor Society: sophomore through senior years. Andrea was also in FBLA and FTA. She was also the Reporter her freshman year for Junior National Honor Society and served on the Student Council her freshman year. Sports included Basketball and Track her freshman year and Softball all 4 years of high school and before that. Her awards include Society of Distinguished High School Students, DAR Good Citizenship Award, Biology Award, Woman CI Civics Award, Girl’s State Delegate junior year, and recipient of the Elk National Scholarship. Andrea won second place her freshman year and first place sophomore year in the Science Fair and then attended the Regional Science Fair her freshman and sophomore years. She was elected Who’s Who Most Intelligent her sophomore year and Who’s Who Most Likely to Succeed her senior year.

With all these accomplishments throughout high school and life, Andrea’s greatest accomplishment was her friendship. We will miss her smile, sense of humor, her willingness to help with anything, her compassionate nature. Andrea was not just a classmate. She was our friend, and she will be missed. We had fun being prom servers our freshman year, wearing raincoats, holding umbrellas, and singing the song, “Singing in the Rain.” We were Rainbow girls learning to sit properly, going to convention, and staying up late. Bunking parties at her house when we were young. Running around in her 1960’s Ford Mustang. It was a standard, and she could stop on a steep hill and start again without rolling back. The nights during high school putting together floats for homecoming, Andrea was always there. I know we did some stuff that now we would say was dumb but wouldn’t have missed making the memories. We can’t miss mentioning that she loved her Route 44 Sonic drink.
This poem in on the last page of the yearbook our senior year of which Andrea was the Editor, and it describes Andrea well.
There is no greater blessing
Than a friend who always cares,
One who will remember us
In daily thoughts and prayers,
One who shares our happy times
And gives them added worth,
Who adds a touch of heaven
To all our days on earth.
Goodbye, our friend, and rest in peace.

She was preceded in death by her mother LaVonne Hall.

Survivors include her father Wayne Hall; one brother Charles Hall; one nephew Colton Hall and one niece Shelby Hall.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 14, 2022, 2:00-3:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Tributes

She was the sweetest lady I ever knew, loved her so much RIP!!!!!!!
Ken Harrel - Friend/Classmate
Since I was a small child I remember Andrea as my mother Diana Obrien and her where close friends. She would let me spend the night at her house, and gave me the first book I remember. It was Black Beauty. And she signed Inside the cover. I still cherish it. She was one of the most beautiful ladies I have ever met! Many prayers for her family and friends.
Kaitlyn Keller - Friend
Shortly after starting my job, Andrea invited me to the lunch book club. She was one of my first real friends both at work and in Arkansas. I loved her grit, her passion for the hogs, her authenticity, and her kindness. (And she was a great cook!) My life is for the better because I knew her. I’m feel blessed for the gift of her friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with her kith and kin during this difficult time.
Heather Shakespeare - Friend/Coworker
I met Andrea through my husband Ken almost 10 years ago. We kept up with each other through Facebook. I was so happy to see her at the reunion recently. Such a sweet sweet, soul. I am proud to consider her a friend and she will be greatly missed. God bless the family as they heal.
Glenda Harrel - Friend
A kinder soul and more encouraging spirit you'll never meet. She will be missed by so many of us. I feel blessed for having been her friend.
Erron Smith - Friend
Andrea had many friends which I am proud to be one. It was a shock to hear of her death. She was a kind and gentle soul. I will miss her visits and emails. She was a voracious reader as witness by my Goodreads referrals from her. I know it seem insufficient but I wish Wayne and Charles my condolences and know she will be missed by many many friends.
Greg Reed - Friend
Andrea made us all smile with her joy, humor, and kindness - a legacy we should all hope to leave!
Sandy Nickerson - Co-worker
So many wonderful things to say about Andrea. Anytime I bumped into her in the hallway, we got quite chatty and were late for wherever we were headed. Her warmth was remarkable and left a lasting impression on anyone who knew her. Her friends and family are on my mind and in my prayers.
Daphne Moore - Co-worker
I was lucky enough to work with Andrea these past few years, she was always a ray of positive energy and kindness in the hectic work week. Feel honored to have gotten to know her.
Drew Petty - Friend/Colleague
I am heartbroken by this news. Andrea and I bonded over being caretakers and our work. She was a lovely individual - smart and caring. I will miss our heart to heart conversations and my thoughts are with her family.
Susan Roberts - Friend
What sad news to hear about such a sweet, sincere and tough lady. It is hard for me to believe I won’t be getting my Andrea calls anymore where I get an update about her Daddy, Charles and most of Prairie Grove . My entire family will miss our handwritten notes and cards from Andrea for graduation, a win in a sports event, military retirement and the list goes on. One of my most memorable moments with Andrea is where she and I compared notes for a few months trying to figure out a name and brand for our ranch, now thanks to Andrea we will forever wear the brand (Broken W Ranch). Andrea I will forever miss you and will always round to the nearest penny. Thank you for allowing me to share books, memories, my family and your patriotism. Maddog07 out

I hold so many good memories when we were in high school. She was a wonderful person. We used to sing and laugh lots. I know she is singing for the Lord now in Heaven. A sweet, true friend. Sending prayers for her family.
Paulita (Bacus) Richmond - Friend
Andrea and I were instrumental in providing benefits to the associates of WEI for many years. She was always professional, personable, and caring. We also shared a love for baseball at all levels with particular fondness for southpaws. What i will never forget is her kindness towards me in 2015 and 2016. As I went from having a gravely ill wife, to a grieving widower, to a cancer patient, to a lonely retiree in a big house, Andrea provided several levels of support , not the least of which were personally prepared meals delivered lovingly to my home. I shall never forget her kindness. I was pleased but not surprised by similar actions by neighbors. Andrea’s gesture was on one level more surprising. Her close friends were not at all surprised. She was a special woman!
Bob Hamilton - Friend and Business Associate
Andrea was a great person that I’ve known for 30+ years. We met through our connections in Aviation. It was a pleasure when we would get together for business reasons, social events, lunch or just to talk. She was always so calm, happy, supportive and super smart. You will be missed my friend!
Linda Jennings - Friend
I met Andrea through a mutual love of needlework. She was a beautiful person with a smile I’ll never forget. I cherish a stitching set she made for me and it is even more special now. The world has lost a very special lady.
Kay Harmon - Stitching friend
Charles, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Mart Phillips - Friend
Andrea was undoubtedly one of the sweetest people I have ever known. No one ever had a negative thing to say about her and I never heard her say a negative thing about anyone else! She was also so positive, helpful, joyful and kind! I loved Andrea and will miss her dearly. I am so grateful that I got to spend time with her at our class reunion this past June! I will forever hold her in my heart and her family will be in our family’s prayers!
Kirk Turner - Friend
As so many others have already said, Andrea was family to us. She was our first friend when we moved to NWA 30 years ago. She was our first babysitter for our firstborn child. She attended our children’s birthday parties, graduation parties, showers, weddings, games, plays, and concerts. There will always be a hole in our hearts and in our home now. We loved her so much. We feel blessed to have been in her huge circle of friends.
Dell & Lori Wood - friend

Met Andrea through our love of needlework. Her spirit and kindness made many happy memories of our travel, stitch camps, and shopping. Her stitching was magnificent. I have one of her stitched pieces that I see everyday and will enjoy even more now. I loved you Andrea.

Andrea and her company are a business client of ours. I only knew her a short time but she always brought joy and kindness anytime we spoke. I recall one day we talked on the phone as she drove around Bentonville looking at our properties and office. We laughed and had a great talk! She will be greatly missed by the Wheelhouse team.
Allison Brown - business colleage

I am one of the fortunate colleagues who was privileged to be part of Andrea’s “work family” for more than 30 years. Andrea was one of those rare individuals who truly care more for others than they do themselves. Andrea was constantly doing things for other people. She not only became a close work friend for me, but as with many other associates, she became a friend to my entire family. Andrea will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Rick Chapman - Friend / Colleague
Andrea was the one of the most genuine and beautiful people that God ever created. She cared for everyone and gave of herself whenever needed. She was smart, talented, beautiful, loyal and dedicated to her job, friends, family and whomever needed her. I am so blessed to have had her in my life and been able to know her and call her my friend. I will miss her beautiful smile, her sweet voice and just talking with her. She was a beautiful soul and a giving person through and through. Thank you God for the opportunity and rare privilege of knowing one of your sweetest angels here on earth. We will miss her so.

I am so saddened and shocked to hear of Andrea’s passing. I am fortunate to have been an ex coworker of Andrea’s. I will remember her smiling face, her friendship and compassionate heart. Since moving away from the area we kept in touch on special occasions - especially when something exciting was happening with her beloved Razorbacks! I will miss her. I send my condolences to her family. Rest In Peace, Andrea. And go Hogs!!

I can only echo the thoughts that have been expressed by so many others who knew and loved our beloved Andrea. I can still remember her first day as my new co-worker and the excitement and pure joy she had with this opportunity, and the treasured friendship we then shared through the years. What a blessing to have been a part of her immense circle of friends. She worked her way into all of our hearts with her unselfish and giving ways. Sending prayers to you, Charles, and her dear Daddy during this most difficult time.

Andrea traveled with us, attended camps and retreats with us, and shared lots of laughter and good times. We consider ourselves blessed to have known her, and grateful for her friendship.

Andrea immediately extended friendship to me before we were coworkers and continued to share once our desks were close. Andrea is always ready to connect and share a story or a recipe, always along with a smile or a hug. May her posture towards loving and caring for others live on. I will deeply miss her presence.

I have so many fond memories of working alongside Andrea in the mid-1990 through the mid-2000s, as we were then a small family office and Foundation. Andrea was always so kind and so hard-working. She will be sorely missed by the organization, her friends, and colleagues.
